Now, it’s time to make him official with a proper name, and we need your help! We’re inviting you to join the fun and submit your best name ideas for our iconic Bigfoot mascot. WHAT DID I EXPECT? IT'S THE U.P.
What I didn't expect, was encountering a Snowmobiling Bigfoot in Michigan's Upper Peninsula! Its snowy trails near Lake Superior and the Porcupine Mountains, is a dream destination for snowmobilers. But during a recent trip, my friends and I stumbled upon something truly extraordinary - a snowmobiling Bigfoot.

We set out from the Sunshine Motel and Cabins in Ontonagon, the ideal base for exploring the area. As we cruised through the snow-covered trails, we spotted a massive figure near the edge of the path. At first glance, it looked like another snowmobiler bundled in fur.
As we drew closer, we realized the truth. Standing at least nine feet tall and wearing a red-and-black flannel shirt was Bigfoot. Without hesitation, the creature climbed onto a snowmobile, revved the engine, and rode off into the woods with incredible ease. The surreal image of Bigfoot navigating the trails like a pro left us speechless.

Back at the Sunshine Motel and Cabins, locals shared stories of similar sightings, cementing Bigfoot’s legendary status in the region. Whether you believe or not, the Upper Peninsula offers unmatched adventure, stunning scenery, and maybe even a brush with a mythic creature.
